Friends of Cheakamus First Sunday: Maple Tapping Workshop

On February 2, 2020 please join us for our next Friends of Cheakamus First Sunday event from 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM. This will be fun day of hands-on learning about the process of tapping maples and making maple syrup.

Few people realize syrup can be made from the sap of the Bigleaf maple trees that grow in our own backyard. Executive Chef Wade Rowland will give an informative talk on the process, and then lead an interactive outdoor demonstration of how to tap.

Registration is required for this member event, click here to register. Not a member yet? With a donation of $25 or more, you can participate in this event along with exclusive seasonal activities throughout the year. To donate click here, or by cheque or cash payment on the day.

All donations support our environmental and Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) cultural education programs, and conservation work.

This is a family-friendly member event that will take place rain or shine. Please dress for the weather with appropriate footwear for walking outside on slightly uneven ground.
