Welcome to the Outdoor Learning @ Home Site!
We strongly value outdoor and place-based learning and we’re hoping this site will support students, families and teachers to take their learning outdoors. This can involve learning on the patio, in the yard and in nearby nature.
Our goal is to support educators and parents remotely by providing outdoor place-based learning activities for all elementary learners that:
- support care for self, community and local environment
- develop a sense of connectedness to place
- focus on Literacy, Numeracy, SEL and Indigenous Education which target the Personal-Social, Communication & Thinking Competencies.
We’ll be updating the site regularly so please check back for new activities and resources.
We want to remind everyone to follow the Provincial Health Authority guidelines when going outdoors and practicing physical distancing.
