Teen Camp

About Teen Camp
An immersive overnight camp for personal growth, connection, and outdoor adventure for students currently in grade 8 and 9.
From August 6-8, 2025, the Cheakamus Teen Camp is a three-day, two-night overnight experience designed to help youth unplug from their routines and reconnect—with themselves, with each other, and with the natural world. Through purposeful outdoor activities and shared experiences, campers build confidence, friendships, and a deeper sense of place.
Set on our ecologically rich site in Paradise Valley, the camp is led by experienced outdoor educators and mentors in a supportive, inclusive environment.
Program Highlights
Campers will take part in a range of hands-on activities that promote leadership, curiosity, and personal growth, including:
- Canoeing
- Hiking
- Survival skills and orienteering
- Archery
- Challenge games
- Nature-based art projects
- Animal care with our Cheakamus goats, chickens and pigs
- Traditional teachings in our teaching Coast Salish longhouse

Each activity is designed to be engaging, empowering, and rooted in respect for the land.
